Subsequent to the 6.7 magnitude 1994, Northridge Earthquake, John Trapani, CPA, became active in the recovery of his community, including providing income tax advice and assistance as well as forming a non-profit community organization that provided unique support services to homeowners in their recovery process.
His experience in disasters began long before 1994. In the 1976 - 1983 period, John assisted a client with ten federally declared flood disasters in San Diego County. John understands the needs of people who experience isolated casualty losses or those recovering from a disaster.
John's experiences have lasting effects on his clients' recoveries. His focused approach examines at many dimensions of the recovery process, accumulating tax information and organizing it to minimize tax impacts, while determining tax advantages clients may claim. John brings his energy and enthusiasm for serving clients in a time of great need and chaos to a professional course.
Mr. Trapani has taught course for the California CPA Foundation, Universities, accounting firms, and large financial institutions.
